Attainable Golf Homesites at Nakoma

When people think of luxury homes for sale a variety of visuals come to mind — stunning architecture, beautiful design elements and finishes, generous square footage and privacy.
Other real estate buyers are looking for frontage on a beautiful golf course and stellar views.
At the heart of Nakoma Resort lies the Dragon golf course, an expansive 140-acre mountain course with 7,015 yards of fairway and more than seven miles of cart path.
The Dragon is undeniably beautiful. I have a lot of golf aficionados tell me that unlike anywhere else they have played, the Dragon has no “filler” holes. Every fairway is intentional, laid out in response to the mountain topography with almost all tee boxes and greens boasting beautiful vistas.

Search for golf properties in Truckee-Tahoe, Northern California land for sale and California real estate in general, and you’re sure to see a consistent trend — the lots are small. Often tiny. This unfortunate practice detracts from the golf experience and makes for crowded neighborhoods.
Compared to Truckee real estate featuring golf — such as Tahoe Donner, Old Greenwood, Schaffer’s Mill and Martis Camp — with their small lots at high price points, Nakoma bucks the trend with many golf parcels over an acre, and up to 2.65 acres.
In fact, you’d be hard pressed to even find land for sale in Truckee, let alone on a world-class golf course at attainable prices like you can at Nakoma.
